Preparing a mailing for discounted postage rates involves following many required procedures for it to be accepted by the Post Office. Domestic Mail Manual 233 3.5.1, barcode standards, properly sequencing (sorting) the addresses Presort is the process by which a mailer prepares mail so that it is sorted to at least the finest extent required by the standards for the price claimed. Generally, presort is performed sequentially, from the lowest (finest) level to the highest level, to those destinations specified by standard and is completed at each level before the next level is prepared. Domestic Mail Manual 235 1.1, bundling and preparing the mail in trays or sacks and preparing the proper paperwork. This enables you to get the best postage discount possible for mailings of 200 or more pieces mailing at a standard postage rate or 500 or more pieces mailing at a presort first class rate.

 

CASS (Coding Accuracy Support System) is the function that corrects, standardizes and adds Zip+4 and carrier route codes in compliance with the USPS criteria. It works in conjunction with DPV™ and LACSLink™ to reduce Undeliverable As Addressed (UAA) mail and to increase address accuracy.

 

PAVE (Presort Accuracy, Validation, and Evaluation) certified software ensures that your mailing is properly presorted according to Domestic Mail Manual (DMM) standards to obtain maximum discount and that all the necessary reports and container labels are generated.

We can also save you the cost of the annual bulk mail permit fee of $190 by allowing you to use our permit. We have permits for presort 1st class and presort standard. Even Non-Profit organizations that are authorized by the Postal Service to mail at the Nonprofit Standard mail prices can use our permit and still get the Nonprofit Standard postage rates.
